The other book which I can suggest is the book which started the walk - 'A Coast to Coast Walk by Alfred Wainwright ' this is Alfred Wainwright's book which he wrote after planning the walk back in Even if you travel with the Trailblazer guide, Alfred Wainwright's book is a great souvenir to look back on after you have completed the Coast.

I read this book from the comfort of my sofa and thoroughly enjoyed it - I laughed outloud alot. It's incredibly detailed and informative about everything one needs to know when going for a walk around the coast and a well written book filled with humour.

I wasn't planning on Walking the coast book the coast, but I know if I do I'll be taking this with me.4/5(10). The Amalfi Coast is beautiful, but it is hard to find a comprehensive guide of walks. Or at least it was hard to find that until this book.

The book gives the route of every walk, along with the length of time, the distance, the degree of difficulty and where you can begin the walk/5(36). Alfred Wainwright is the author of a well-known series of mountain-walking guide books on the Lake District among which is the first guide ever written on the Coast to Coast walk.

Wainwright was an illustrator as well. The Coast to Coast Walk is a favourite UK Walking Holiday in England.
